Role Description: We are seeking a motivated and hands-on R&D Technician to support the development of next-generation cardiovascular medical devices. This role is primarily manufacturing prototypes for medical device development, while working in a collaborative and mission-driven environment. Ideal for candidates have a “hands-on” mentality, with associates degree with 2 years of manufacturing experience, other degree and experience levels are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly with senior engineer to execute manufacturing protocols creating prototypes of various product lines.
  • Maintain lab equipment and participate in maintenance of production tools and fixtures.
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing protocols for implantable devices.
  • Participate in prototype production for verification and validation testing and document results per regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements in R&D and production environments.
  • Comply with all internal quality and safety policies.

Required Qualifications

  • Associates degree, and 2 years of in plastics manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with manufacturing tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with FDA/ISO documentation practices.
  • “Can do” attitude, comfortable with uncertainty and willingness to support the team.
  • Ability to adapt to change

Preferred Skills

  • 3 – 4 years of experience
  • Experience with ePTFE or plastics manufacturing.
  • Exposure to Good Manufacturing Practices, familiarity with six sigma a plus.
  • Exposure to cardiovascular or other implantable medical devices.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, machining, PLC logic controllers or 3D printing.
  • Strong interest in learning from senior staff and contributing to a startup environment.
