Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced and motivated Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced battery coating applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in process engineering, and reactor design, particularly in applications for thin-film coatings and/or energy storage materials. Key Responsibilities:- Lead the design, development, and commissioning of a custom reactor for producing coatings for lithium-ion batteries.- Oversee process optimization, scale-up, and integration of the system into production environments.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, materials science, and manufacturing, to refine coating processes and meet product performance targets.- Conduct experiments, analyze data, and implement improvements to reactor performance, coating uniformity, and process efficiency.- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout the reactor development process.- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in reactor operation and coating processes.- Document project progress, technical findings, and provide regular updates to leadership. Qualifications:- Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.- Understanding of thin-film deposition processes and material coatings- Experience with laboratory processes to pilot or production-scale reactors.- Proficiency with process modeling software and design tools (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS).- Experience with safety protocols and environmental regulations in chemical processing. Preferred Skills:- Familiarity with battery manufacturing processes.- Project management experience with interdisciplinary teams.
